Mississippi where art thou?

All states in the US are represented in the National Bike Challenge except one. Please go to www.nationalbikechallenge.org and register for this free event that begins May 1.

I think that would be "Mississippi, where yat? " I'm new to cycling, at least new again. I haven't ridden in 35 years but I recently bought an old road bike and hit the bike paths. I just registered for the national bike challenge. I rode 71 miles on the excellent Longleaf Trace from Hattiesburg MS last Saturday.

I've ridden that far in my Jeep, but haven't worked up that distance on my bike, yet. That's quite a lengthy ride.

BTW... I know this is a few months old, but I just joined the board today, and will be reading through many of the threads; old and new. Be well!

spoiled, you need to get that road bike so you can make the distance.

$300 can get you a reasonable modern AL-framed bike, a few years old, with STI around the Sora level (think a 5+ y/o entry level Trek), or a nice 80's steel frame with nice components. Have fun with the search.

And don't be pushing that OM/MSU stuff in here
