Delta Bike Project in Mobile, AL

After a long absence, I've gotten back into cycling in the last year or so. I'm also very interested in the bike co-op idea. I just learned that there is something in Mobile called the Delta Bike Project. According to the web, they are only open a few hours each week. I live about an hour and a half north of Mobile and am thinking about riding down one day and checking it out. Anybody in Mobile have any experience with the organization and/or have any info that might help me decide if it's something I might want to get involved with. Seems like an interesting way to spend some time, meet some new people and learn more about my bike.

Thanks.

Frank

Welcome. If the Mobile coop is anything like the sopo coop in Atlanta it will be a great resource for you. Let us know how it works out for you.

Where are they located? I'm across the state line, in Escambia County, Florida, and Mobile isn't too far for me, I'd appreciate knowing something about them. TIA

561 St. Francis St. It's downtown, just a bit west of the tunnel. Here's a link to their website. I'm planning to be there tomorrow night. We'd be glad to have you come over.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, Frank, thanks for the link. It will be nice to meet you when we finally have that lunch together. Appreciate this lead on a coop, I'll have to check this out.
