A big motivating factor for me when riding got stale were weekly evening group rides when I was living on the seacoast of New Hampshire. I would frequent a Monday night shop ride that was beginner to intermediate paced and a Wednesday night ride that was more on the faster side of intermediate.

I recently moved to Santa Barbara and have been lacking the motivation to ride and I am trying to find a good weeknight group ride to get my miles up. It's always more fun to ride with people. Weekends are often busy and I will make whatever Saturday or Sunday rides I can. Does anyone know of any groups meeting up for rides during the week after work?

Anything from 20-40 miles, 16-22mph. Just want to ride with people.

Thanks! I've been following the group for some time, but I only ever see weekend rides and weekday rides during the workday. I am looking for group rides after work. There were so many of them where I lived before it was often hard to pick one.

Join the group, ask to be an assistant organizer and organize some rides. If at first your not aware of routes, check the route sites or ask members of the group for ideas. Locally in SoCal there are several groups that have very successful night-time rides, sometimes it takes a bit to get the ball rolling, but if you're consistent and personable people will want to join you when they can.
