I was beginning to wonder why this forum became so stale..

I see what's become of this forum...

Anyways, how bout them Dodgers ?

Since when did having fun on a message board become such serious business ?

Back to complaining about bad drivers and news about bike accidents.

Dodgers were only commendable when Orel Hersheiser ran those parts.

Giants. Nuff said.

If you think it's depressing here, just stop by the A&S forum. Those people are nuts (I'm sure half of them are secretly sarcastic trolls, egging each other on in jest) and I need a shower after clicking on their wretched forum.

Yep Genaro, there's your answer. Fishbulb. Turns out everyone's out riding instead of complaining. See you next rest-day....

So you guys are complaining about the complaining? I have to admit, that's Olypic level.

Apparently there are some random people providing SAG services up at the shack on GMR? Anybody come across them? It's still too hot for me to want to find out.

OH, and it's not PC here to talk about FGAA. We cannot talk about someone getting a free lunch because they are overweight. The big ones are beating the normal bodied riders into submission here on this forum.

What's that supposed to mean?

Go start a thread in A&S, I bet it goes to 6,000 pages. Each subforum has it's own particular set of norms.

When Beanz was active on this forum, it was more lively, no question. I'm not questioning the decision to ban him, as I do not have a dog in that fight, but there is no question that his shtick brought a lot of us to this subforum. I enjoyed his annual SART thread.

No harm in blowing off a little frustration here on BF, just don't get as vitrolic as a George Carlin video! Better yet, go to a sub-forum with cool pics of bicycles; I like the C&V picture threads, and the Gravelbike thread in Recreational Cyclocross is pretty cool too.

About 8 years ago or so this board was great. Monthly group rides / get togethers, everyone got along, etc. Then through a few petty events things fractured and half the board left. Sometime after Beanz got banned. Its really unfortunate and I thought it would get back to that way but it makes you realize how important it is to have people to organize these things.

Off the top of my head I can think of five SD regulars that moved or quit riding.

Beanz is active on FB.

I joined in 2010, and even then it was a lot of fun. There was a good chemistry with the mix of people who frequented the site regularly.
Personally, I don't have as much time as I did back then to post or even ride with my crazy schedule. I am barely maintaining some level of fitness.
Let's plan a GMR ride. May need that SAG support someone was talking about. LOL

I encountered the GMR support on 07/18, the day it hailed. They gave me water and a banana, and I tried to continue on but got drenched and frozen and turned around. It was an insurance company saying they were "giving back to the community." A pleasant surprise!
