I'd post an ad in local bike shops, maybe email the contact on a few large clubs such as PAA.

What sizes are the bikes? I'd be interested in a tandem for a short captain (48-50 cm in front).

Local shops might not be interested unless there is something in it for them. Large club members might not be interested in entry level bikes. Instead, I recommend Craigslist.

Potential buyers will want a test ride. Meet them at the longest cul-de-sac in your area. Take a picture of their vehicle and license plate. Take a picture of their driver's license. Tell them to ride in the cul-de-sac only, and stand at the entrance to the cul-de-sac so you can block them if they try to go outside.

Be prepared for low-ball offers by email. Cash only.

Good luck!

I've sold 4 bikes recently and the key is pricing. I price my bikes in the range they are selling not what I want or what I "think" they are worth. The biggest problem I see with sellers is they want what the bike is worth and not what people are willing to pay. It's a buyers market and you have to accept that and just take a loss sometimes.
