Apparently all bars/microbreweries are the best. Or at least worth driving to

tunavic...as of a few months ago, sd county had 105 breweries. i'm sure it's grown since then. we have but a smattering listed.

as for the must do/classic beer bars in the county...haven't made it up to churchill's in san marcos. love o'brien's in kearny mesa
but it's not super bike friendly and, if you drive there, the parking lot ranks as the absolute worst in the county by my estimation.
it is the place to catch the us men's national soccer team matches tho. love hamilton's in south park near
balboa park/dtown sd but it's not bike "friendly" by my parameters listed previously.

and no...all bars/microbreweries are best. obviously different places/tastes appeal to different personalities. the good thing is that
the bar has been raised so high here in sd county that average/decent stuff is still pretty damn good. an embarrassment of riches we have.

What needs to be created is a 'recovery contest.'
Preferrably to have that contest be done after a contest of bikes having a type of close-contact-contest.

I've never been to Stone in Escondido, but the one in Point Loma is fantastic.
And it's totally bike friendly. Plenty of places on the patio for bicycles.
I love their bourbon barrel aged arrogant bastard ale.
Also, I've been experimenting with 'sour' beers.
Last time I was there, they had like ten on tap.

I do love the Arrogant Bastard, the double bastard and most of the other bastards. Great stuff.

As for sours, that must be an acquired taste- I accidentally had a beer from the Bruery called "Tart of Darkness" and that kind of soured me on the concept.

Yes, sour beers are probably an acquired taste, certainly it's not a welcome surprise if you're not expecting it! But then again I find beer itself to be an acquired taste.
