Hwy 39 parking

Hi there, does anyone knows a place to park in Azusa? I'll be in the area and I plan to ride hwy 39 up & down midweek in the morning. I saw a city park near Foothill, don't know if is ok to park there or what other options I have.

On our group rides we used to park at Encanto Park and took the short river trail up to the 39. You can leave your vehicle there all day.

I ride from the house, but El Encanto in Duarte is probably the best parking spot. Cross the bridge and go up the SGRT to the end.
There's also a parking lot on the east side of the river off of Foothill, but it's pretty deserted on weekdays and the gate is locked at 6:00 or so, probably not the best option mid week. There's also a smaller parking lot on 39 at Ranch Road just before the ranger station.

The SGRT is all tarmac from Long Beach to the 39, and now with a spur to the metro Gold Line at City of Hope.

i always park at pioneer park-about 2 blocks east of the 39-off of sierra madre rd. in azuza. there's a good size bathroom at the park and a convenience store
on the way to the 39 if you've forgotten something.
usually use it as my staging/parking area for gmr/grr as well. never had any issues. it's marginally closer than encanto park for the 39.
