Goatheads in PS - Indio?
Can any of you tell me if there are goatheads in the Coachella Valley? Would like to know if I need to be extra careful when I visit. Thanks.

yes but my main problem riding in that area historically has been stray dogs on the north side of the 10 fwy.

Yeah, you'll find 'em. But one tiny upside of the sustained drought we're in is that the goathead numbers are way, way down this year compared to even last. Last year there was a stretch of road I would frequently ride that the median was a 15' wide stretch of yellow flowers, several hundred yards long. A vast sea of Tribulus terrestris. This year, that median is just dirt.
But as the universe constantly strives to achieve balance, I'm picking glass shards out of the tread every other ride.

Okay. Thanks. As for the dogs, went thru that a year ago in the villages of Salton Sea. I called 911 3x during the tour because they wouldn't let me continue on. Definately a Riverside County thang.
