Cool. I once drove a Zamboni. Not much for speed but it had an awesome turning radius.

I am the great Cornholio! I ride on Lake Tittykakka!
OK, not really. My real name is Ron and I ride in the High Desert - Apple Valley, Victorville, Hesperia, etc. You can go here to check out our local bike club. Here's a few pics of me and my bike:
This is what happens when you ride in the desert too long.
Off the front!! Or that might have been off the back.
My new Bikejournal jersey.
A ride from Apple Valley to Big Bear. Fun day!

You ride passed our friends house on your way up 18 to big bear, the big windmill on the right just before it gets steeper.

Hi--I'm Bernie, aka bernmart. I live in Pasadena, and have been back to cycling for about sixteen months. I'm a lot older, and vastly slower, especially on hills, than most of you guys. Many of you probably passed me as I gasped my way up East Mountain Drive on the Cool Breeze last week.
I've been averaging 100+miles per week for the last several months, but I'm starting a new teaching job next week, so I'm gonna be pretty much a weekend warrior. I'm thinking about riding to school some days, though.
This is a great group, and it's good to have gotten to know some of you electronically, at least, in the runup to the Cool Breeze. Wave as you pass me!

Hey Everyone. I'm Chris and I live in Highland (which is right next to Redlands...a more recognisable cycling city) and have been cycling for a little over a year. I'm 34 years old and usually ride alone, or with my wife on the weekends.
I work in the IT industry maintaining the county 911, dispatch, and law enforcement systems. I really like it but I dont like being on call. I also attend the University of Redlands full time.
My favorite ride is up Devils Canyon. Devils Canyon is what road cycling should be. My wife and I usually ride SART on the weekends. I also spin 2 nights a week with my wife. I'd prefer to ride, but spinning keeps me consistent. I'm also with 15 miles from the 18, 38 (Onyx Summit), and Oak Glen. I live in a climbers paradise.
On a good week I go about 125 a week and on a bad week a goose egg. I know its sacrelige not to ride for a whole week but certain weeks (class finals, on call) it is hard to put in miles.

I made a thirty mile rounder of Nisqualli, Hesperia, HWY 18, Corwin, Waalew, Central, Navajo, Bear Valley, and Hesperia again this Sunday afternoon.
You guys seem to be pretty active in the immediate area, yet I never see any trace of you guys, or any other riders for that matter.
But, I'm just glad someone else exists out here besides me.
I was beginning to feel like the "High Plains Drifter" there for awhile.

Although, my Montague folder should be pretty unique on its own.
As for the weekend ride, I'll be getting into long-haul trucking this week, so that won't be done here for at least a few months.
But, that's what the Montague folder and my 24HR fitness membership are for.
Maybe I should get your jersey so I could represent when I'm in other states.
I mean, I've only been living here since I was four in 1987.
I've got the veteran points to prove it!!

Just discovered this forum and it's neat ! I am pretty much a flatlander with just a hair under 10,000 miles on my Red, White and Blue Madone 5.2. I live in Yorba Linda about 300 yds from the SA river trail which gets most of my rides. Iride with Mr. Beanz and the ever so pretty and gentile Gina every now and again. I have climbed up Green River until it ends in Corona, ridden over Imperial to Irvine and a few of the hills around YL as well as a couple Centuries and tour De Cure etc. I retired early from the Defense Industry In January and now am a high price consultant..... I am thinking about joining the BF ride to MT Baldy but I hate to get up early ...not to mention my minimal climbing experience! I'd post a pic but everything I have exceeds the limit ! Showing my Medone in 100kb would not do her justice. BTW I used to be "Old Newbie" in that OTHER forum!

I don't work in a muffler shop. I might employ one of you fellas soon, though.
I'm Paul. I live in Escondido, which is about 8 hours from Flagstaff, AZ or about 30 minutes Northeast of Downtown San Diego. I generally walk out my garage and ride from there to wherever I can get to, then I turn around.
I'm 31, married with a 3 year old and a 9 day old. (Yep, 9 DAYS!!! Quinn Moffat, b. 8/21/06, 7 lbs, 14 oz. Wife pushed for all of 9 minutes. Can you blee-dat?)
I forgot what else I was supposed to say about myself.
edit: OH! My Screenname is a play on my last name: Moffat (pronounced Moffit, but all the ******bags in elementary school called me MO Fat - this is my defense mechanism). My avatar is a banana-hammock-clad Chief Wiggum with his gun out. The 'Scum, Freezebag' wasn't uttered while he was wearing said banana-hammock, but was, by all accounts, the first and last time I nearly dropped dead from laughing and not being able to catch my breath.
Also, be forewarned: if someone takes me seriously, my first reaction will be to make fun of them some more. I'm sarcastic, and my instincts always lead me toward the dark side of funny.

I'm Tiffanie, live in Huntington Beach with my dh and three kids. I purchased a bike in June after realizing I was spending way too much time in Spinning classes with instructors/profiles that just weren't comparing to my favorite instructor's, who unfortunately is out until Nov/Dec.
I'm so glad I made the choice to get outside and take up this newfound addiction, errrr activity. Love that I've met so many great people from here and look forward to many more rides with everyone.
My typical rides consist of usually starting from my house and heading to the coast. Huntington, Newport and Irvine are the only places I've ridden so far (well, I did ride in Napa a few weeks ago while visiting there). My riding partner is currently on the down low and am finding that I have to push myself a little bit to get out and go. I don't care to ride alone much.
Here I am in Napa a few weeks ago. Not my bike - it was a rental!
