Ummm, about what speed are you guys planning on doing this in? I just did a 53 miler, flatter than Solvang, in 3:37 (rolling time only) and my legs feel like jell-o. Just want to make sure I won't be holding everybody up.

... just adding my .02... but M.E. was gonna wait for me and I'm a snail... so I'd say you probably shouldn't worry!

Watch the Sky for the Solvang Prelude
Riding in the Prelude this weekend? Better watch the forecast carefully because there's a possibility of rain. Here's two, usually accurate, weather links for the area:
https://www.crh.noaa.gov/forecasts/CA...3&city=Solvang
https://wwwa.accuweather.com/forecast...er=accuweather

I'm going to be riding the 50 miler this weekend and I was wondering if a group has been put together and where are you going to meet? I would like to meet and ride with some fellow BikeForum members. I'd like an excuse to wear my new BikeForums jersey. Can we set something up?

I probably won't ride in the rain either. My carpool plans are tentative because the inlaws and wife might come with. It's ok, I like them.

Wine? Yuck. Not for me thanks. Beer is all I need.

Firestone Taproom
Great place for super-fresh brews made onsite, music, food and all around fun atmosphere, especially after a beautiful all day ride in the Valley. Here's the website:https://www.firestonewalker.com/secti...n_taproom.html And here's a brief review of the place I found: https://www.santabarbara.com/winecoun...ry/default.asp

Come on you rainbirds. Don't give up already. It isn't going to rain but even if it does, it will be very slight. Start thinking more positively on how much fun y'all are going to have.

I don't mind riding in slight rain, but that's usually a 1 hour loop near home. The part that bothers me is being 30 miles from the start when the slight rain turns into rain.

I'm holding out for "Partly Cloudy" as reported by The Weather Channel. But, I'll bring my rain gear just in case.
