Finally Finished Felt

Yay, yesterday I finally built up the Felt frame that's been sitting in my garage for awhile now.

Felt F50R frame
Reynolds Ouzo Pro Peleton fork
FSA carbon compact crank
Neuvation R28 SL2 rims
Tufo C S33 Special tires
Ultegra groupset

Right at 18 lbs without pedals. So much lighter and snappier than my OCR1.

(Of course I'll have to change the bar tape to some other color after Labor Day )

Ah, gotta love the details:

-white bar tape: check
-red valve caps (perfectly aligned): check
-hardwood floors: check
-etc, etc...

Nice bike.

Actually, you're suppose to hide the valve behind the fork and stays

Geez, tough cowd. But as long as we're talking about details, you both have valid points.

Sea Green Sky, can you fix these imperfections and post another pic for re-inspection at 1400 hours?

I like them quite a bit so far. Very light and stiff enough for me (but I'm only 155 lbs). My only nitpick is that the skewers are a wee bit cheap, but that's easily fixed. For the price I think they're an excellent value.

I got excellent service from John at Neuvation. The RD was just nicking the drive side spokes when using the lowest gear so he FedEx'd me a new wheel with the spokes laced on the inside of the hub flange and paid for shipping mine back. He definitely won a repeat customer with his service.

Wish I could, but I have a golf tournament in Oregon for the holiday. Besides, I'm not in fighting trim quite yet anyway - I'd probably get dropped on the first big climb . I'll probably start doing SoCal group rides around the end of September.

Actually, I'll be there tomorrow, but it'll be my last group ride as a Californicator. 2 of the next 3 weekends I'm out of state and the last weekend of September the gf and I are packing and moving. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could set aside a 55cm Lemond and a wool jersey in case I'm ever back in Cali.

But don't think of it as me leaving, think of it as you gaining a place to crash should you ever venture to the Denver area. There may even be a cold Fat Tire Ale or 2 waiting for you as well.

So Sea Green Sky, are we seeing that ride of yours tomorrow?
*edit* -- OK, have fun in Oregon!

It has been in the works for a few months. I LOVE SoCal, but there were some quality of life factors (ie having a nice home, yard, etc for under 800k) that my gf and I had to consider and so we decided on Colorado.

You can say bye in person when you visit Colorado. I'll be settled in by next Spring and will have some good rides routed. Then you can have the option of road tripping in Chimivee's VW Bus or flying and having your bikes flown. The cost of having the bikes flown out will be offset by the free hotel room, AKA my house.

Can we make that of a different beer, because you will find that only tourists drink Fat Tire anymore... Wynkoop, Sandlot, and the Bull and Bush are much tastier options on the beer.

Sea Green Sky, have fun in Oregon! Sounds like a cool trip!

I'll have to give those a try, but until I find a beer as good as Harpoon IPA or Magic Hat #9 (which I can't find out here or in Colorado) I may be in tourist mode for a while.
