Performance is one of the closest bike stores to my house. Not that exciting anymore. (But I still go there often!)

does it have to match your new jersey?

So I needed a new floor pump and I see their 'good' Hurricane pump is like $20 off so I bought it. I spent like 20 minutes checking out their inventory....not bad for a brand new store. Then from there I drove to the Rose Bowl which was like 10 minutes away in moderate traffic, did a few laps around the perimeter and after that tried to convince about a half dozen guys to doing the GMR ride. I didn't see my friend Mason to remind him about Saturday's ride so I called him on his cell. I told him I didn't spot him at the Rose Bowl and he proceeded to tell me he was in the middle of exchanging an item at the new Performance store. I told him hey I was just there like an hour and a half ago and I asked him what he was exchanging. He told me he had purchased this "sh1tty!" floor pump a couple of days earlier and wasn't happy with it. I asked him which one......and turned out to be the exact same pump I just purchased....
Anyway, I'll play with the pump tomorrow and see if he had a valid complaint about the pump head being a dual purpose presta/schrader which he wasn't too happy about.... We'll see...

I've been in there a few times picking up random stuff two weeks ago.

I was actually in there today around 6pm picking up a Do-wrap skull cap so my helmet doesn't get nice and sweaty - haven't ridden the Rose Bowl all week as I've been out and about the streets of San Marino for a change of pace, but heading out there tomorrow morning.

I'll look for a fixie bike - I don't know your real name so I'll just casually call out your screenname - I'll ride alongside and be like, "It's a nice *cough* Fixer! *cough* day for riding, huh?"

I drive by the fountain valley performance every day. I stopped in today to pick up a cheap work stand. I also asked if they had spoke washers. Only one of the guys working even knew what a spoke washer was. And he wasn't one of the mechanics. I guess they don't build too many wheels there. The clearance section is the best reason to go there.

Just got back from another quick trip there - quite convenient as I'm only 5 minutes away.

All bikes are tax-free today. The line was super long as they were having earlier problems with the registers - one of the employees was out and about the line handing out CLIF bars apologizing for the wait. Wasn't horribly bad - took me around 10 minutes or so in line.

I picked up the Hurricane Team pump as well - haven't used it yet as I just got home, but hopefully the dual valve isn't a problem.

They should make those pump heads either or.......I don't get a solid pumping action with the presta valve like I do with my other old pump which has a presta only head.

Thanks for your feedback - I'll try it out tonight and if I'm not happy with it I'm bringing it back tomorrow probably for the Joe Blow, which is the same price.

Pump not doing it for me - the 2-in-1 head is not as efficient as should be - pump going back tomorrow for the Joe Blow

I own the same pump. Works fine for me. Not great, but completely adequate.
