[EDIT] Odd. This was supposed to be post #4, not post #1. Oh well, whatever. Posts #4-6 happened first, then #1-3, then the rest.[/EDIT]

I think Mandy's SAG support would be much appreciated. Yeah, we'd be alone on the GMR segment, but she could meet us again at the top of GMR. And knowing we have water at the top of GMR would ensure that two water bottles is sufficient.

And it's not just the practical advantage Mandy's presence would provide. I really enjoyed having her share in the Pie ride experience, and I believe the rest of the group did, too. I see no reason she shouldn't take part again. In fact, I would welcome her participation.

I think it would awesome if Mandy did Sag. It was so nice having support on the Pie Ride, I liked how we set up our mini sag stops, it was almost like a supported century, without the masses You're right the GMR would not be open to support, but Mandy could take Sierra Madre over to Hwy 39 and meet us at the top of East Fork (Junction of GMR/GRR/ and East Fork). My vote, is to go for it! This may also help bring out some people that are unsure of their ability to complete this ride, it's a nice piece of mind knowing that you're being looked after.

    Baldy Challenge Century - SAG?

    Hello all,

I was looking at my schedule and it appears that October 14th is clear on my books. I know the Baldy century will be a tough one, and SAG might be a great idea for the ride. If it is wanted I would be glad to drive SAG again, maybe this time more on the tune of drivng with the group, but also setting up more of a SAG stop situation vs rolling SAG like at apple PIE. I had fun last time (dreams of being a SAG car driver for a pro tour team! ) and would love to do it again if anyone is interested.

Women think they're so clever because they can fake an orgasm for the sake of a relationship, but men can fake a whole relationship for the sake of an orgasm.

Ya, now I remembered that the road is closed right there again. I can not imagine what would happen if someone (gasp!) went down on GMR closed section.

Bumping this back to the top since a BikeForums clock error pushed this halfway down the page when OC Roadie and I responded.

Thanks Extort! Should be a fun day out in the mountains...

May I also say my pleasure to help provide a great challenging day on the bike for many people. After I was hurt I pledged myself to help provide great cycling oportunities for many people, and I am all too happy to be apart of the experience. Even when my fitness level is at peak there are plenty of hilly centuries for me to ride, and pacelines to navigate. If someone can be there to help friends push their limits and be there at their hardest and weakest moments in the physical rhelhm... because they are there for me at my weakest moments. That will never change, whether it is excorting a group of cyclists up a big hill, setting up a criterium, or teaching kids to ride in the part - I love cycling. The invitation is always open, Apple pie, Baldy, etc... we are here to have fun... with lots of oportunities to ride together later... and maybe I will beat the "climbing slowpoke" up the hill - ya right - I have fun on the bike now.

I can not wait until the 14th...

    Mandy
