I like any cytomax flavor. Been drinking it since it was first introduced to the market with only a single flavor. Currently working on a can of Tropical Fruit though.

I love Clif Bars and Shot Bloks, but i find the Clif Shots to be less than stellar in the taste department. The rice syrup taste kinda just powers through whatever other flavor they're trying to make it. I'll take Gu, Hammer, and Carboom gel anyday.

My recent purchases:

Radio Allergy soundtrack (http://radioallergy.o3ent.com/)
Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid (DVD Discs 2, 3, and 4)
Camelbak Slipstream (2006 model on sale over on performancebike.com)

I have a Camelbak HAWG which is great when doing expeditions or riding on city streets (when i need to carry anything and everything to be self supported), but the Slipstream should be handy for training rides along SART or even races/triathlons. Essentially anytime i won't need to carry a tire, toilet paper, batteries, windbreaker, etc...

Try Clif Bar Toffee Peanut Buzz--my favorite! I could eat 'em like candy!

And Cytomax Cranberry Grapefruit. Not quite as sweet as some.

Yup, bought a can the other week.

BTW - Longs Drugs carries the premixed Cytomax in orange and citrus flavors (right next to the Gatorade). It goes on sale about every other week for 89 cents a bottle - that's cheaper than the powder

What I like about Cytomax is that if you don't clean your water bottle out within 20 minutes after your ride it congeals into a sludgy moldy biohazard. Occasionally the sludge evolves into intelligent life and escapes the bottle to go live in the canyons.

I know what you mean. I forgot some Accelerade for a week. Didn't even try to salvage that bottle.

Rocky Mounts Noose SL.

Dammit if they didn't just change the skewer design so I can\t use the lock core I bought with the first Noose SL I bought a couple years ago. But the new skewer is MUCH nicer, so I have another new skewer on order

And some Look 3.1 pedals on sale at Nashbar for the Trek 2000WSD I bought for my friend last weekend (she already has shoes with Look Delta cleats for the place she takes spin classes)

Pumpkin Spice Clif Bars!!!

The flavor is seasonal, but you can still get them online. I just bought a box, along with 3 boxes of Bloks ($15.40/box)!

Dang it, when I first read it I was trying to come up with a witty response to that excellent (unecessarily self-deprecating) post... but I took too long, I guess, because my short attention span drifted off before I could come up with one that would compliment without chance of offending.

Ladies,
Performance has these ($79.99) women's ultrashorts on sale for $49.99:

Also, women's PI shorty socks (which I prefer as I hate ankle tan lines) and the head wrappy things are on sale as well.

Those Perf Ultra ladies shorts sound quite expensive compared to the men's. The men's can sometimes go down to $50 for the bibs version.

Yes, well, the quality isn't stellar either, but I'm giving them another chance. However, I will say, I returned a pair (for exchange) today sans a receipt. They still gave me back money since I paid the original price for them! So, that's excellent customer service for sure.

Maybe the women's pad is different? I dunno...women's "everything" is always more expensive than men's. Go figure.
