I think so...if you go with a group and there are enough lights then it should pretty bright to see....
For the price maybe get 2...I had one on each side of the stem...it worked pretty well...I actually never tried the 2 by myself...will have to do that...
I was sort of surprised at how expensive good lights are....but they are 15-20 watt, have battery packs...

I believe Catlike is the name of the manufacturer.

mrdick 11-06-06 08:55 PM

Mo'Phat 11-06-06 08:56 PM

Phonak used them at the beginning of the season, then changed 'cause they looked so stupid...er...I mean they got a Giro contract.

+1!

For her though. Not me. I'm good.

voltman 11-06-06 10:01 PM

Just popped this in. It's perfect.

Since it holds up my Toupe, does that make it a barrette or something?

Tiffanie 11-06-06 10:02 PM

I noticed at least one team in the TdF using these helmets. I've always liked them. If i recall, they won't have a US distributor until next year.

yeuh. they're making a clincher as well, but the spinergy guy said he didn't know how well that would go over because of the weight.

this would be the race wheel.

And the picture taking wheel?

Well, I stopped by the LBS for tubes, patches and CO2 and was so proud of myself for walking out without spending over $100 (also got a new saddle bag) that I came back to work and pulled the trigger on pedals, shoes and tires from pricepoint. Hopefully the shoes and pedals aren't junk. The tires have to be better than the Specialized Tri-sports I've got now.

And here's the bag.

So...I just went to Performance looking for pedals for both of my MTB's (jsigone's Crank Bros. suggestion...great deal for Eggbeaters - 2 sets for $49.99 each), and one of the wrenches there saw me looking at wheels 'cause I want a better set for my Cannondale SS conversion...lo and behold, he's got a single speed wheelset off his personal bike that's brand new and offers it to me for $100. Since I know where this guy works and can crack his skull open if'n it doesn't work out, I bought the set. Now I can't remember the name of it, but I'm pretty sure it came off his Redline Monocog. My main concern is that they won't fit the frame. They're also not quick release, which will be a minor pain when I want to switch to street slicks. I'll update the wheelset later.

Also got a Surly Singleator chain tensioner, a lockring removal tool, a Zefal 'Ping' bell, a 24 pack of Clif Shots, a Lizard Skin chainstay wrap, a Camelback cleaning kit, and Performance Vega glasses (love 'em and they're cheap to the point of disposable).
