I bought a Continental Gatorskin, a Race Light tube, a 16g threaded cartridge and a Park tire boot to replace the stuff I used Sunday after hitting a rock.

Just ordered a pair of Sidi Genius Megas and a set of Ritchey Pro Peloton pedals.
Finally making the leap from SPD's to 'real' road pedals! I can put the old pedals back on my mountain bike and not have to wear the old Nike Katos that have been wreaking havoc on my toes during long road rides.... Woo Hoo!!

My last purchase? Two Michelin Pro2 Race tires (red) to test head to head against the Specialized Mondo S-Works tires (black) that I recently got. (Winner goes on my new wheelset. Loser goes on my backup wheelset. Probably keeping my Ksyrium Equipes as backups and giving my dad the Easton Circuits.) Two short valve Specialized tubes for my new wheels. Two long valve Specialized tubes. (Don't want to carry short valve tubes as spares because a) they aren't long enough on my other wheelset and b) someone else might need the tube.) Extra wheel magnet so that I don't have to move the magnets around.
My next purchase? A valve extender. I like how the shorter valves look on my wheelset, but I can't pump them up with my floor pump. Argh. Happily, I can pump them up with my Topeak Road Morph in the meantime.

A new brake cable and bearings for my Ksyrium SL's. I know that's pretty boring I'm sure it won't be long before there's something much more exciting. I did get some Reynolds DV carbon fiber tubulars not long ago that's much more worthy of mentioning

Can I post deals on here too?
Amazon has the 2006 Bell Sweep R helmet on sale (black/titanium or white only) for only $75! That's the lowest I've seen it ever.
I wish they had the red/black on sale..would match so well with my new BF jersey

OC, those are some awfully nice wheels!
My prediction is that Brandy will be so antsy off the bike that she'll redouble her efforts to find herself a fixie, and she'll end up the next one with a new bike.

12-27 for the baldy assault. got me to the lifts, but a compact or a triple would have gotten me there quicker (but not cheaper)
I invoked the meander gear to get more out of my 39-27 combo. weaving back and forth on that last 15% pitch brought my cadence up to 50 from a low of 38. I think a compact with my 12-25 would have gotten me in the 55-60 range.
anyone bought an a/c unit for their road bike yet? ;-)

I bought some Bontrager bar end plugs that I can't install because my awesome handlebar wrap job is just too awesome. I don't want to redo it and the wrap is still in great shape, so I'll just have to wait another year to put them on. Oh...and I bought another pair of the same glasses I've been using forever.
