I begged for a discount since I missed the earlybird signup by 1 day. They gave it to me. Still $70, but don't forget all the food!

Aw, heck, I just do it for the company. And to show off my new BF jersey.

A. Rest Stops (7 rest stops located about every 12 miles):
Fresh Water
Hammer HEED (like Gatorade, but less sugar) premixed in 5-gallon jugs
Hammer Gel packs
"Who's Your Daddy" King of Energy Drink (similar to Red Bull)
Bananas
Variety of Clif Energy Bars
E-Caps (salt tabs, plus potassium and magnesium)
Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
Fig Newtons
Red Vines
Trail Mix or Pretzels

Advil
Cryogel (Vita-minerals topical analgesic)
although that's a long list... the actual FOOD is quite sparse... (there's a lot of drinks... ecaps.... etc listed) and the food itself is not very exciting.... clif bars.... bananas.... red vines... pb&J... where's the cookies? and muffins? and chips? and crackers? m&M's..... rice krispie treats..... where's all the GOOD stuff**********?

i stand by my thoughts that the sag fare at this ride leaves a lot to be desired IMHO..... it's just not exciting.... gorge yourself at the sag stop kinda good eats like other rides have!

they don't list all the yummy deserts for lunch.... i hope they have them again this year... that was truly the best part of the food stops!

I concur, Cali. If my memory serves (I rode this Jan 05 - not 04 like I originally stated) the food was not the attraction. In fact, they served chili at the lunch stop, something I would never eat on a ride personally (too heavy). They ran out of it anyway, and since this is such an isolated area, you are best to pack fuel (PayDay, energy bar, whatever you like). There is a convenience store at which you can buy goodies if need be, but that's it.

what i remember most (other than the yummy deserts at lunch) was clif bars.... tons of clif bars... at the stops.... yuck! i mean i like clif bars... but one or two MAX is all i can handle on a ride.... i want JUNK!

to me... centuries are all about gorging on the junk i never buy to eat at home! and they don't have anything that interests me in that department! i may have to buy a box of rice krispie treats and bring then along! lol!

i also understant that everyone is different in what they want to eat.... i'm a junk food eater on centuries.... others don't eat at all... and other actually like the stuff listed above! for me... BRING ON THE JUNK!

I just got this email in case anyone is still looking to register...

We extend our very best wishes for a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving to all our Shadow Tour members and previous riders.

We’re pleased to announce over 600 riders have already registered for the 2007 Wells Fargo Stagecoach Century and benefited from Super Early Bird and Early Bird pricing, which ended on Nov 19th. If you missed the deadline, you’re invited to use a Special Promotional Code “ST10” through Nov 30th, 2006 to receive a $10 savings off our Regular prices (all Early Birds still got the best deal).
