Your dad make the fixie? In another post you said your dad taught you everything you know. Is he a bike mechanic?

I have a couple of bikes that I'd like to mess with but get scared to really screw 'em up!

No he didn't make the bike...he's not a bike mechanic but when he was my age his bike kept breaking down and he learned from mechanics, or people. Today I took out and re-greased my steering bar and fork and all that. It still works. Let me see those bikes! I'll screw them up for you so you don't have to go through the terror

nah I had the ghetto bike with coaster brakes, so when that happens there was no simple back pedaling, more like take your foot off and have it dragged on the floor while tring to crank with the other foot and all while going down hill.......I hated living on top of that hill. I hated being the paperboy on that hill with sunday's papers strapped to my ghetto bike.

Skin doesn't flap around the way pants can. And another solution is to put a band (velcro bands work fine) on your pants to hold them down so that they don't get into the chain.
