The Sept 2 ride probably was his final BikeForums ride in SoCal. He mentioned it a little before that.

Yep, I was just about to say the same thing.

I happened upon and bought (what I believe to have been) the last new, 2005, orange, 55cm, Lemond Sarthe a few months ago on sale in a small Pennsylvania shop. The money I've saved not renting a car has already paid for the price of the bike. Much different than my other Lemond: traditional geometry (Sarthe) vs. sloped, Campy vs. Shimano, Double vs. Triple and steel vs. carbon/Ti. I'm not sure which one I like more.

The only riding I've been getting in has been "running the gauntlet" in New Jersey. It's a 4 mile, white knuckled, teeth clenching 4 mile one way commute/sprint to work through rotaries, 4 lane traffic merges and convoys of SUV's, etc.. Man, this place is NOT very bike friendly. I can't bring my bike in to work or the gym as they both make me lock it up a good 80 yards away from the buildings in rusty old bike racks, in the middle of nasty, butt ridden smoking areas....

I hope to get in a few weekend rides in CO before it gets too cold. You are always welcome to visit.

Not BACK to CO, just to CO. My gf is moving back to CO. We safely arrived yesterday afternoon and we'll be staying in a small, 1 bedroom apartment until her tenants move out of her home in February --- I can't wait.

I hope all is well in SoCal.

You'll have to check out the Southern California sub-forums to see what you've been missing. Good to hear from you.

I would, but I fear it may suck me back in and I've had a TON of work to do over the past few months. When work slows down, I'll commence wasting my time here again.

Thanks. I was tempted to stop in the middle of nowhere (almost anyplace in Utah) and start building a home on top of a mesa. Sooooo beautiful.

I'm not familiar w/ the names of the different neighborhoods within Denver, but I think we're in Stapleton. Basically a few miles east of downtown and a few miles west of Aurora.

Cool, I grew up in Littleton, moved downtown, then to Englewood, and finally to Glendale.

I am looking at Christmas out there with the family.... and now you have two bikes!
