Horse/Bike deal with my wife

The bike has become a problem. I'm spending too much time riding, and not enough time with my wife.

She rides horses.

This morning, my wife came up with a good idea. She'll ride with me ten times if I do ten riding lessons. She's never ridden a road bike, and has no idea what it's like.

Anywhere I can rent her a decent road bike for a few weeks so she can give it a fair shake?

Just make sure you put a nice Brooks saddle on her bike.....she'll feel right at home...

Just buy her a bike. Then you can continue to ride with her.

How often do you ride? The women I know who ride horses spend so much time at the stables and riding, I could go on a tour and I doubt they'd notice.

she goes to the barn tues and thurs in the morning. up at 6:30, on the horse by 8, done by 11. Then mid morning for 3+ hrs on saturday.

I don't have her academia hours, so I can't always do the am thing. I ride at 5:30-7:30 during the week, then a long ride saturday. The biggest problem is downhill sunday. We skate from 3 to sundown, and its a huge problem.

I don't see when we're going to pull off the hobby swap. We'll need another ten hours/week.

I've been searching for the extra 10 hours in a week for a long time, still no luck. I like going to the stables though. It seems that women who ride horses tend to be easy on the eye and they have awesome legs. Not sure if the leg strength crosses over to cycling well. Good luck!
