The red star means that you are a contributing (monatarily) to bikeforums. It also gives you a larger avatar and eliminates the ads on your screen, which are more annoying than ever now...

Plus, you can be part of Socal's red star club... !

How about you go out and wash a couple cars or mow your neighbors lawn a few times and earn it just like everyone else did, it's really not that hard. My cousins 15 year old has had a lawn service for a number of years. He started small, then bought his own tools and worked his way up to a personal cushman cart and he recruits his friends for big jobs. He has saved enough money to buy himself a nice car.
Don't be lazy and ask for hand outs, take the initiative and find a way to earn it, it will make you a stronger person.
