She makes me yearn for my granddaughter, who lives in NYC. I couldn't keep my eyes off her at the sag break yesterday, she was that cute and at ease with all the weird-looking riders.

NO, do not tell me that is out here and do not tell me it can jump on me! I generally try to take spiders out of my apartment peacefully in a glass (I even talk to them telling them that there are better roads to travel outside of my front door, but if they jump, their ass is grass.

Now that is nuts ... talking to spiders?

When I ride Mt. Hamilton in the fall, I see tarantulas on the road ... not large ones, but generally about 2 inches high. It's quite a site to see on the road.

yours, too. sorry i never got back to you about vegas. my plans fell through at first, then all of a sudden were back on by that thursday. at tht point i was already over it and decided to stay home and get some miles on the bike.

long beach crowd was HUGE yesterday. i think that's probably the biggest crowd i've ever seen on a saturday.
