I'm pro finding out what the whole story is. I don't think we've heard the whole story here.

That said, I don't buy coffee from SB's or anywhere. I save the money, bring it from home, or have tea, that I bring from home. When I do buy something "out there", it's usually an independent shop. Why? Because I like the independet spirit. But SB's seems to work hard to do things right, far more so than many other companies.

I for one, love Cafe Bassam in San Diego. Bassam decided that smoking was important to some people, so he got a liscence as a humidor. That's something Starbucks would never do.

But what is funny, is people will read crap on the internet, then jump on a bandwagon to "ban something".. with out knowing the full facts.

Shame on people for doing that.

Now, DRINK MY KOOLAID!!!

+1 on this. We don't know the entire story here. Where was this meeting? how many people? could he have taken the bus? a cab? Was there prior tension in the past? did he ask for any record of his past sales performance?(which supposedly was the reason for the transfer)
why wasn't there other options? To me, it almost seems like a vendetta...or maybe she felt like he had a better life than her, and need to "correct" it, I dunno
The old saying goes that there are three sides to every story: his, hers, and the truth

Coffee is foul? Actually, it is purported to be very good you in terms of antioxidants. If you don't want the caffeine, go decaf.

I figured I'd get someone with that. I'm actually the opposite. Coffee tastes like nasty burn to me, apparently I'm one of the last 3 people on earth who think so.

I get my caffeine through tea, and the only slightly more than occasional diet coke. You're right though, it is supposed to be good for you with the antioxidants. So is wine

Yeah, speaking of that avatar, Fixer... When you mentioned you were getting the chainsaw out to cut wood in the JT thread, I almost commented that I hope you don't get any ideas of bringing it to the desert.

If you noticed, that post has long been deleted. I didn't want people to get the wrong idea.

I didn't notice, but that's funny. Where did you get that pic and explain usage (humor me).

Actually there's no humor behind it. That's Father Karras.

My favorite is coffee with 1/2 and 1/2 + sweet and low but black is fine. I'm not picky.

See, now THAT humors me! Got it. But it is spooky. That movie scared the daylights out of me, and when I saw the remastered one in 2000, I couldn't sleep for two nights.

That depends on the quality of the coffee... If I go to Denny's, I want all the cream and sugar that is available because their coffee sucks. Same for Starbucks...

If I brew coffee at home, it is pretty good stuff and I take it black.
