Hey thompson, where is your ride report from the Solvang Autumn Double?

Also, I hope that I helped you (and others) out by standing on the hill right before you hit the dirt

Oh my god, that was you standing on that hill???? Funny thing, I was the one that was trying to do a trackstand when I got to the dirt and the bike fell (I was doing all of 1 MPH) I was just waiting for my friends and doing a little showing off. Joke was on me though!!! I told Debbie about it because I didn't want you guys to think someone actually crashed. You did an excellent job pointing it out!!

I did a ride report. It went something like "I showed up, I rode, and then I left". M.E. hated it and said I sucked at writing reports.

But I did have a great time. I loved the course. It was all terrific. Well, except the Guadalupe stop, I ate too many snickers bars.

HAHAHA That was funny! I heard you joking around and laughing after you fell so I knew that you were not hurt (if you were hurt I would have headed down to help you) and I heard you talking to your friends about how I had a story to tell...

It was a beautiful, but strenuous course. I did the staff ride on Sunday and still need to write up my own report.

The way I imagined the story was

"I told this guy there was a cattle guard in the shade followed by dirt and the bozo still fell, what a dipwad". Not a bad story, but I just didn't want to feel your warning was inadequate, it sure was, I was a dipwad. (I frequently am)

I found that whole hill (Preforma) spectacular. The uphill had fantastic views and the downhill was great through apple orchards and everything. The rest of the course I have done as I ride in that area a lot. I like Tepusquet a lot too. Good stuff. I will do it again.
