Will you only do half the ride and then disappear to go post on the bike forums? I mean, I've never met ovoleg before.

Seriously, I'm on Winter break after Dec 15 so drop me a line then and I'll join in. Man I love working for a school!

SoCalCycling doesn't want to go?

Well, my light is broken, so I'm out of commission until I replace it. Anyway, Ovoleg, I'd bet money that you won't show. You're phantom rider, sort of lurking in the bushes. But, Fixer, have fun!

I'll go but I know if plans are made he won't show up. Famous Ovoleg excuses are:

1. I woke up late
2. I broke a spoke and it took all morning to switch wheels
3. I already rode 20 miles to the start so I was too tired to continue.
4. I had to take my brother somewhere.
5. I had to take my sister somewhere.
6. My car was dirty so I had to wash it.
7. On my way to the start (1 mile from my home) I got a flat so I missed the start time. I tried to catch up but those guys are fast.
8. ( If he did make it to the start why didn't he finish with the group) I had to stop because my water bottle fell out. or
9. I got stopped behind a light and couldn't catch up.
10. (my all time fav) I was there where were you...

so sure I'll go riding with him...

1. Happens alot
2. Happened once and I can take a pic as I still havent fixed that wheel.
3. I'm not fond of driving 20+miles to ride a 30mile route
4-5. One time occurance and I don't have a sister
6. Makes no sense but ok.
7. Happened once or twice and yes alot of people at the local club are too fast for me to catch them if I am down 20+mins
8. Happened once and the time that this happened I almost caught the group but got a flat shortly after and the wheel was not true after hitting that pothole.
9. Never happened.
10. I was there...

Socal, the only ride you wanted to go on with me included me finding you god knows where on a weekday when normal people go to school/work and ride 150+miles with 100,000ft+ climbing. Socal, I'll ride with you, dont get mad

This thread is a comedy routine...

Tell you what, Ovoleg, why don't you just post a picture of you on a bike so that people like me know you exist. Because as it stands, I think the others who have said they've ridden with you once are really in on the gag. I think you are a mutual fabrication of some very clever minds on here. So...prove me wrong. Pic!

Funny, I'm actually beginning to believe that myself. Someone who has ridden with him in the past with a group must have a photo of him somewhere. Anyone?

I was surprised, they took FOREVER at that rest stop, then took the short route home.

Funny, I figured he left the ride early so he could post on the forums so people thought he wasn't on the ride. That way even if I did say I saw him people would think I was fooling because he was on the internet before the ride was over... or maybe I really am in on the gag with this fictional creature. bwahahaha.

No camera phone, besides he's nothing to look at (in my opinion)

Oh yes that ride. Well I really didn't think that Calabasas High was too hard to locate. I don't know how you get 150 miles and 100,000 ft of climbing by going up Mulholland to PCH and back. Name the time and place. BTW "alot" is not a word in the english dictionary.

So you did get to witness him on a ride? What's the purpose of joining a group ride if your not going to ride with the group?????

He rode with us the first half, setting a rather fast pace for the level 2 crowd, then disappeared just before the rest stop. I believe he lives just a few miles from that rest stop.

Or am I just fooling you?

Bah, you're his alter ego, you know where he's been.

the ONLY reason i truly believe he exists... is cuz my favorite forum member has actually met him/ridden with him and says *GASP* that he's NICE!
