On my list to consider but I cannot sign up in advance...still soccer season as I posted elsewhere, Hilly's team made the finals which will be played this Saturday. If they win, we start Area Championships on Sunday with at least two games scheduled. So, I'd be last minute on this one and will hope I can get in a good ride before Saturday's game!

I'm doing the Burrito Century on Sunday or else I'd join. Sigh, so many rides, so little time...

Where is the conflict? Do the PU ride on Saturday and the Burrito ride on Sunday. Think of it as training for next year's double season, which really isn't that far away.

I'll be at the PU ride. Look for the tall guy on the black recumbent.

Well....it's not the riding that's the issue. It's my TIME. I'll be out by 6am to ride on Saturday morning. That or a spin class and weights. I won't be doing nothing, I can guarantee you, but I can't commit to a ride that starts at 9am.

The ride starts at 8am but I plan on leaving a little sooner. You know me, always on time.

I was being a dork and put this in the wrong thread - I confused rides. There is NO way I could do a century on Saturday and get to Irvine in time for a party...let alone be up for partying. Of course, I'm not going to be "partying" all that hardy since the burrito century is the next day. Why don't you do the burrito century, Bob? Hmmmm???

I can't handle routeslips like that unless I'm riding with many people. I'm far too good at zoning out and riding without thinking. One time I missed a turn and went 8 miles before I even thought that I missed a turn.

Great day for a century, with a phenomenal group of riders. Big John, valleygirl, zzzwillzzz, vertical bob, and cassave were all in attendance (am I forgetting anyone who is on here?). Cassave (who is a machine) even wore his socal BF jersey! Will was taking some photos, so hopefully managed a jersey sighting pic.

Very fun century... even if all the climbing was backloaded!

Don't forget scv roadie and ronsmithjunior. The climbing was hard because the wind had taken my legs away. It was cold up on top of the hills. A lot of people had flats. Tracy has to be the cutest sag driver I've ever seen, and a delight to talk to.

I was there as well.. I rode/spoke with Cassave for a bit. Too bad I didn't get the chance to meet the rest of you !! Next time !

Great ride....

Ended up doing about 105 miles. Missed the Encinal turn and didn't discover it until I got to Trancus Canyons.. Oppps !

It was a great ride. Rode at different times during the day with many friends that I have met cycling over the last few years. It was nice riding with you and Sarah for a while on PCH. What was up with the wind, every time I have been on PCH there has always been a nice tailwind heading down the coast. Cassave, nice jersey, can't wait to get mine next week at Crystal Lake.

John, if your legs were toast, when we started up encinal my legs were burnt toast. I don't know what happened. I guess it was just one of those days. Up to that point, I was feeling great, riding well. Then I had no juice in my legs and my stomach was upset. Every hill after encinal was a major effort. I loved the descent down Rock Store.

The winds coming through Los Posas and PCH were wicked.

Stopped and fixed my friends flat 2 times. He got one front flat on PCH right before Neptunes Net and then procedded to pinch flat his rear less than 2 blocks later. By the time I got to Encial (After my 6 mile re-route ), I was feeling ok from my tire changine pit stops.

At the top of Encinal I thought I was home free, until the rollers on Decker and Mulholland with their massive gradients at times

The descent down Mulhollad was great. Recharged my legs and got my second wind. Sprinted home down Agoura and Mureau.

Thanks for the great snaps, Will. I now have proof of my first semi-official event.

And you even managed a socal BF jersey sighting!

It was nice meeting a few of you people. The ride was very nice, even if most of the climbing came in the last 25 miles. The only reason I made the turn on Encinal was because I saw other riders doing it. Earlier I missed the right on Wendy because I was out in front without reading the route guide.

That was a nice ride, a bit chilly up on Decker Canyon but still all good.
It was nice to meet those of you for the first time (Scvroadie and awiner) and always good to see the familiar faces.
Last week it was a cracked crankset, and Sunday, cleaning up the bike I noticed that the rear hub has a badly cracked flange. This is getting expensive!

Hey Ron, I beleive I was riding with you for a bit just about Wendy until Bruce and I stopped to help Mario with his flat tire about 6 miles up Lynn.

We were talking about your recumbent and there was another guy with us on a bike with Power Cranks that he was telling us about.

Was that you ?
