Put me down as a "maybe" -- got a few things going on this weekend, but I should be able to steal away on Monday for a few hours.

Ok, I'm coming. Gina won't ditch work. Wanted to ride the tandem, but she's too busy at work to play hookie! ...So I guess it's just me!

If you won the lotto and rode your new bike in the rain, you simply toss it away after the ride and get another on your way home . . .

Ok if Beanz is coming add me to the list. Drafting behind Beanz is a terrible view but the widnshield more than makes up for it ...Now about the weather if it rains, snows or I can see my breath in the morning I'll prolly go back to sleep. In other words don't wait a milisecond for me.

Hey Chuckie! I'm pretty sure that this will be a nice friendly ride. None of thsi Oldguy beating up on Young guys!

I'm hoping to get Ana out there as she has the day off. But she's just getting over the bug too. So if we go, we'll be doing a nice haopoy pace along with the other riders coming off a century and GMR.

And about the view, I thought you said I was cute!

I hope to see all of you out there as this is still a go. I'm going to try and put a routeslip together, although it's pretty simple and I suspect we'll stay together as a group unless someone really wants to hammer (note: someone is NOT me).

No, Mr. Beanz, you weren't whining. Normally, I will provide one, but this trek is so easy out and back, that no one will get lost. So, I may just give directions to you guys and my cell and call it a "ride." I don't plan on dropping anyone, and if I don't have a routeslip for you guys, you can't drop me. Win-win...

Good, just didn't want you to go thru the hassle for nothing after all your rides and stuff this weekend.

Besides, Sonny will be there to help me find my way. Oh wait aminute, he was the only guy to get lost on the GMR ride!.....I'll take a map fo Cali!

No routeslip necessary, I had a 50 mile hammerfest on Saturday and got that out of my system, way out of my system. Plus, if I get dropped by one of the nicest people I know, after she's done a century and a baldy climb in back to back days and then manage to get myself lost on a river trail, then well, that's my own fault.

I'm a bit spooked after almost falling (along with five others) on a long patch of black ice during this morning's club ride. God, was it cold this morning. And yesterday.

What concerns me are the several underpasses on the SGRT, esp. below Whittier Narrows. They almost always have at least some water in them, and obviously there's no sunlight to melt any ice that forms.

Blah, blah. If I don't show up tomorrow, brand me a wimp until I do another ride to prove otherwise.

Bernie

No problem, I'm used to leading groups on flats. I block the wind better than most

Forecast is 44 degrees by 9am and 50 by 10 in Duarte, which is several degrees warmer than today, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm in. I didn't win the lottery. If I meet the woman of my dreams tonight, I might still be out (I always like to cover my bases so I'm not accused of flaking).

My, my Ron, you're being awfully nice to me. Hmmm...methinks you are hoping I'll share a Hammer Gel if you're low, aren't you? Seriously, that is so nice of you. But let me clarify, there was NO Baldy climb today, just double-GMRs, as it had to have been sheer ice up on that mountain it was so cold! So, guys, do dress for "cooler" weather on the bike path. Just be able to strip for my enjoyment...um...I mean, if you get hot and bothered...um...I mean, if you get hot and need to.

Well, the woman of your dreams should be a cyclist, yes???? Therefore, if you meet her tonight, bring her tomorrow on the ride. I'll have one less cutie to flirt with , but I always welcome a little estrogen to mix in with the testosterone...keeps it balanced, like nature intended.
