Looking for groups to ride with (Mt. Biking)

Hi Guys,

I'm a little new to mountain bike groups in this area, but am trying to explore new places to ride and meet people to go riding with. I hear about a lot of other clubs around and would like to see who else is out there who loves this awesome sport.

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm in the Glendale/Burbank area and would love to go mountain biking... however, with a newborn and two toddlers, I am having trouble finding time. I probably can't plan any rides, but if you were to plan something and I can get the wife's ok, I'd love to go.

Too many conditions... but I'll take them to go biking as much as I can!

I don't know of any specific clubs but I would recommend you check with the http://www.socalmtb.com/ website. They have a link that lists the local clubs.

Pretty much all the local trails are listed so you can venture out on your own.

I was going out for a ride this evening thinking it was going to be just me, myself and I. As I was pulling up to the Canyon Dr enterance, I saw a bunch of biker guys parked and preparing for a ride. Well, it turned out that was the OTB club. So I joined them. We rode up the San Merrill trail in the dark! But lights make all the difference, although on that one you could easily use the glow of Los Angeles. It was hard, but a blast. Great group of guys--I definitely recommend them.
