Valley to Downtown--Avoiding Griffith Park?

I may have made a mistake. Took the bus home from work today since I ride in on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My ride takes me through Griffith Park, and I read on another thread that GP will be closed on Thursday because of the fires. Any other ideas on how to get downtown (3rd and Grand) from Northridge?
Typically I get on Forest Lawn to Zoo Drive to Crystal Springs, etc.

If you go early enough, how about Cahuenga over to Hollywood and then Beverly or something into downtown. Admittedly, the only time I do this is when they run the Marathon so it is early on a Sunday morning. Quiet a bit different traffic pattern.

I rode this yesterday (Wednesday) from the park to Los Feliz. It was open farther than that. (I work near Silver Lake.)

Thanks guys. When I've taken that path before I caught it right around the Autry museum, and I figured the road there would be closed. Before when I tried to get on there further north the entrance to the path was gated and locked. Where can I get on the path before the closure?

Is that the entrance off of Zoo Dr. and Riverside (right after Victory becomes Riverside). I figured that would be closed.

I ride it all the time, it's never been closed in my experience (there is a sign that it's closed from 10pm to 6am, I think).

Thanks Mark. Do you happen to know if Zoo Dr. was open to there by any chance? Or did you access from Victory/Riverside?

Coming down Victory to the entrance to the park. Zoo was not/is not open today either. Sometimes they'll let riders through but not cars, but the lady said no dice.

Great. Just a slight modification to the route--no big deal. Thanks again.
