Talk me out of a bad idea!

On my ride today, I decided I wanted a chainring/fred/noob tatoo, for real.....

This strikes me as a bad idea, but still something I'd like. Convince me otherwise, puhleeze!!!

I have quite a few tatoos, so no help here. I say go for it. Perhaps a bike chain around the upper arm.

When it comes to tats, always go with the 'bad idea' instinct. If it doesn't kick in, go for it. In your case, it's a bad idea.

I once thought of getting a partial big ring tattoo on my inner calf where they usually occur. But I threw out that idea when I saw a messenger in downtown LA with one.

Draw a picture of what you want and put it on your refrigerator door. If after 3 months you still like looking at it, get it.

+1 but id almost say wait six months to a year. tattoos shouldnt be thought of lightly...as the guy who put almost all of mine on me said, "these are guaranteed to last threedays longer than you do...".
