Vacation rides Yosemite, Cedar Grove

On Tuesday we drove uo to the valley from Fresno and arrived about 9:30. We parked at the visitor center and spent the next 3 hours riding from one end of the valley to the other and back. It was fantastic, very little traffic, most of the roads are two lane -one way very bike friendly. Lots of people out on rental bikes. Only way to see the valley in my opinion. Weleft around 2 when it was starting to get a little crazy anyway.

Thursday we drove up to roads end in Kings Canyon Cedar Grove. Got up there about 9:30. Is very similar to Yosemite , glacial valley , monolithic granite, but absolutely deserted. Was another fantastic ride back towards Boyden Caves. About 30 miles round trip. Easy rollers. Fantastic granite scenery,Kings River along most of the way. No problems with traffic very bike freindly ride.

The one advantage of living in Fresno is the close proximity to Yosemite. The one and only reason... Just saying.

It’s a great ride from roads end to Boyden’s Cave, mostly downhill. Did you do the ride from the cave to the top of the hill, Cherry Gap, or on into Grant’s Grove?
