Okay, sounds good to me. Assuming there isn't anything too terribly pressing for me to do at work this Saturday, I hope to be there. Are there directions to the start somewhere?

I think Keith and some others are starting at the bottom around 6 or 6:30 and Bob and Christy are leaving Red Box early, maybe 7ish. I'm not sure if we'll catch them, but Keith will catch us.
Oh, and scvroadie, (Lee), said he wants to start at Charlton and do 75 miles. Charlton is a day use area about 8 or 9 miles further up Angeles Crest from Red Box.

I know you've been there before. I'm not sure of the best way to get through the city, but if you're coming from the south, get to the 2 from the 134 and take the 2 to the 210 and go right toward Pasadena, the first exit is Angeles Crest. Turn left and go up about 14 miles to Red Box road. If coming via 405 to 118 to 210, AC is about 10-12 miles from the 118. From your parents, just take the 210 to AC.

Yup, been there, but don't remember the freeway exits. So it looks like I take I-5 north to CA-2 north to I-210 east, and then exit Angelest Crest and head up the road until I'm there. Does that sound right? If I recall correctly, I have to buy a parking permit at the Shell station or something, no? Thanks for the directions.

Yeah, you got it. You can get an Adventure Pass at the Shell or some other stores like Sports Chalet. National forest websites have lists. I should look for a link.

Okay, cool. I hope to make it, but if I'm not there rolling at 8 AM from Red Box, don't go looking for me. Probably just means lab commitments kept me away.

I'm not sure when I'm starting, it looks like Grassy Hollow if I start at 8am and that's ok. Save some legs for GMR on Sunday. If I go to Wrightwood it will give me a chance to see whats on Newcomb's dinner menu on the way back.

Anybody interested in a 7:30 start from Redbox?
I'm thinkin' 8:00 is kinda late for a ride to Wrightwood and back.

I can't figure out why anyone is concerned about starting early, unless they have to be somewhere.
If you guys are really concerned about time we could turn back at Grassy Hollow.

Big John has spoken! ..... ...
By the way, Keith and Manny are starting at the bottom at 6:45. Sounds like their plan is to do mt. wilson, then Dawson's, but turn around from there for an even 100.

I plan on being there, starting with the group at Red Box and going wherever they go. Can't wait.

I may as well throw my plan out there . I plan on getting to Charlton flats at around 7:15 and riding down to meet whoever is riding up from Red Box . Last time getting to Red Box made for a late day and I would like to get to at least Grassy Hollow. Of course this all hinges on me getting up in time.
So there is my dissenting , John.

I like finishing at Charlton instead of Redbox since I'd planned on going to the AWINER
dinner in Calabasas. Is this a go?

I guess I'm going to start with Keith and Manny. Hopefully we cross paths with y'all somewhere up there (unless you go to Wrightwood, in which case we probably won't see you).

Change in plans for me. My hamstring has been bothering me this week & it's not healed enough for me to ride AC yet. So I'll do easier rides this weekend & live to climb another day. Have a great time ... I'll be thinking of you!

Sorry to hear that, Aqua. Take it easy on that hammy and get Bruce to give you a massage.
