Stolen Bike-San Dimas Area
The title should read San Dimas area.
My neighbor just had his red Specialized E4 stolen. It has Dura Ace 9 speed with the old team issue shift/brake levers. These levers have shimano silk screened down the front where you put your fingers to squeeze the brake levers. It also has white look pedals. The bike is a 58 and is a little beat up. If your in the area and see someone on a matching bike who doesn't look quite right let me know where you saw them.
I let him borrow my step daughters bike for the time being. It is actually the same frame in the same size with DA 10 speed so you might actually see him but at least we will be able to compare notes if anyone reports seeing the thief. He will also look like he belongs on the bike since it fits him and he wears lycra when he rides (I'm not saying lycra is a requirement but people look out of place on high end road bikes in street clothes). I suspect the thief is looking for some quick transportation or a quick sale.

That's a shame! You know what the bikes mean to us but maybe a quick primer job and 20 bux to them! *******s!
I was once in a7/11 getting a Big Gulp. As I was walking out a kid asked if I had seen someone walk off with his chrome bmx bike. Nope, nothing. I was driving down Mission when I saw some 20 yo(?) riding a small chrome bmx bike. I followed to a house where he threw it into a back yard. I drove back to 7/11 where the kid was waiting for pops to show. He did then I told him I think I saw the bike. He followed me to the house, then called the cops. They called the guy out and I pointed him out. He got the bike back. Good thing the cops were there cause I would have liked to kick his azz!
I hate thieves!
