I just finished my first post-cold, lingering asthma ride. Yuck. Out and back to Encinitas. My heart rate was ridiculous and I have the VO2 Max of an elderly housecat. I need new lungs.

I've got a dumb question: I don't own a MP3 player yet (never owned one), but will I be able to connect it to a conventional home audio receiver?

There is a simple way to accomplish this. Use a 1/8" headphone jack connected to two RCA style plugs. You should be able to buy one of those anywhere for a couple bucks.

Stopped by Verdugo Park (I think that's the name). They had cyclocross races going on ... that was cool. Brutal part was when they had to dismount, hurdle over the obstacles .... then the hard part, getting back on the bike. A few racers missed ... oooh ... that had to hurt.

just got back from church, they had a lunch following everything. Now watching the chargers play decent ball, no riding for me today. Gotta stay home with the wifey since i was gone all day yesturday. During mass I was thinking of climbing palomar if I had time when we got home but no luck. Oh well, maybe I'll go up there next saturday for some get some better climbing legs in.

Dumb Hollywood Christmas Parade..... we've hardly had any business today due to all the street closures. I think I made $3 today. I'm about to close shop and enjoy the bike ride home...

It's done.

Installed the bb/crank and brakes yesterday, then stared at it for a long time and decided to give up. Brought it in to Nytro this morning and now it's a bike! Well, I still have to install the pedals and adjust the saddle height.

I think I gotta follow Happy's schedule, just so I can get my workout for the day. Can't let daylight, or lack of it, be an excuse for my lack of workouts.

Dave - you can sit on the top tube and coast down hill. You have brakes and handlebars all installed!

Yea, but felt I was struggling all the way through. I just don't feel as strong as I did back in September.

Bleh. As much as my life is an open book on BikeForums, some things are better left not posted for the world to read. Bye SoCal. Hopefully normalcy will return soon enough, but until then, I may be kind of scarce.
