excellent news! that location on the coast highway in solana beach is always difficult to pass by regardless of which direction you're travelling or how long you've been riding. pizza & beer-the perfect marriage!

New Pizza Port will be at the old OB Boll Weevil location. Good for an after work ride and pint.

Welcome, whohasmyname!

Are any NCCC/SD randonneuring people doing Kelly's Coronado ride this Saturday? I'm planning on it since I've never done this ride before.

I'm bummed I missed it. I could have even ridden a bicycle machine there. How'd it go?

By the way, Pizza Port in Ocean Beach should be opening soon. Pizza and Pint here I come!

If it was Sunday I would join up, but Saturday's ride is a brutal climbing ride and if I don't show up, Jeff will probably work to have the club revoke my membership permanently. I have a rep to uphold you know.

You need to do the 300k on the 6th next month. It will be fun. You have a triple so it should be easy for you.

I 'm a probably for at least the first half. I haven't ridden this week and J thinks I'm stressed so she told me to get out.

I'm planning on doing the El Camino Double on the 20th, so I'll pass on the 300K.

I need to get a different bike to do the randonneuring stuff. That's one of my goals for this year.

I hear that. I'm stuck at work so I'll miss out on the 300k, but I'm doing the double. I decided against doing a series this year. Not ready for a 600k and my bikes aren't so great for anything more than a double century. You should look at the Gunnar Sport frame. You could probably swap most of the stuff over from your current rig.

Are you going to get a hotel for the El Camino double? I thought about driving up on Friday to check in, going home, and then driving up to the start on Saturday; but now I'm thinking it might be a good idea to stay in a hotel Friday and get an extra 90 minutes of sleep.

I'm planning to just get a hotel room for a couple nights. Take the train up Friday evening and back Sunday morning. Not sure which hotel. There are several in the area that are cheap and nice. I'm waiting to get a confirmation of my request for time off from work before I register and get a hotel. My boss can be an lame about that stuff.

I want to do the CA Triple Crown this year so this and the Grand Tour should be two. Looking at doing the White Mountain Double in Bishop as a third. That looks like my kind of thing.

If you add in "drink heavy" that would describe each night of my typical vacation.

Summaries are Mo'Phat's job. He's been rocking out at Winston's instead of doing his job lately.

One of the hotels up there I stayed at requires heavy drink to sleep. The main rail line runs right behind it. Freight trains all night long. Big loud ones.
