    Pasadena Vintage Lightweight Ride

Is anyone familiar with this ride?

Every 1st Sunday of the month at 10:30 AM leave 11:00 AM sharp.

The ride is a casual-paced 25 miles long through Pasadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, Temple City, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, Altadena, and back to the Rose Bowl for a picnic and more vintage bike talk. The ride is mostly flat with one moderate climb (fixed gears are fine in other words). Everyone is encouraged to bring and ride a 1985 or earlier bicycle, but feel free to ride anything you have.
May you live long, live strong, and live happy!

Say hi to Chuck for me. I need to get a hold of him to get another Lemond shirt.

A friend of mine does it. He rides a beautiful restored Colnago and wears wool and toe-clips and would wear a hair net if he could find one. He says it's fun.

    That can only be Pete.

Chuck still shows up every month unless something catastrophic happens. Number of participants has grown over the last couple of years, particularly since the writeup in Bicycle mag.

Alice, in the event you don't have Chuck's website, it's velo-retro.com. He also organized the bridges ride, and has his annual rondezvous event for vintage bike enthusiasts. Great list of vintage bike resources for anyone interested.
