Okay good, I had mapped out my drive using the 76 but then I was questioning it. Thanks

Good to hear Dave! Right now, I'm only on my bike about every other weekend... I'll need some inspiration this time around.

Oh.... can I take a bus down when I get up there?

Just to confirm... short sleeve jersey + knee warmers(?) + arm warmers(?) + 2 water bottles == ok? I remembered last time I carried a camelback. I guess it may not be needed this time because of the cooler (cold?) temperature?

Yes, that was fun staying on your tail last time. The descent is, of course, the best part of the ride... gotta take advantage of it when I can!

Tiff, it will be my first ride in three weeks. I'll pace you up.

Dave, your checklist sounds fine. Long finger gloves if you have them would be a good idea, too.

I plan to refil at Lake Henshaw before going back up the east.

Very sweet of you Jason but please don't feel obligated!
My plan is to have made it up South Grade by the time all of you make it back up East Grade.
I've opted for Mandatory Route #1 only.

I'm back! No crashes this time! Yeah!

26.67 miles, 9.6 mph avg speed, no stopping, 2nd lowest gear on my compact all the way... and did I mention I didn't crash? Yeah!!!.

The group is still either on Palomar or at the Harrah's casino having lunch. I had to cut it short and only did SG up to the store and back because my sister's flying in.

was a GREAT ride, was a lil scared with the new bike and the lowest gear was 39x25 but I felt fine, legs are good. Made it up south grade at a good pace then slowed it down some towards the top, didn't have to stop so that was good. The company was great, Tiff was having a bad day, felt really bad for her but she's a trooper and kept on going. The Downhill of S grade was freaking awesome!!!. passed 2 cars, I think I decended it in less then 10 minutes, I should have looked at the clock when I left the store. The new bike handles better then my old one which is kinda scary

Lunch was yummy, got this burger that stood about 5" tall!!! didn't last to long though hehe.

My day was 39.8 miles at a 12.1 average, bout 7k ft of climbing. great recovery ride following yesturday's 43 mile burner.

This was an excellent ride. We loved it! Thank for organizing Frank. It was great to see everyone. I am glad we got out of Harrah's before Matt spent our savings!

Have a great Thanksgiving and we hope to see you all on Baldy next weekend.....

I only took a few pictures. It's hard for me to ride and take pics at the same time.

Thanks for organizing, Grumpy Pig. I felt pretty sluggish out there, but it was good to get out there.

It was a great ride, now I just need to quit making excuses and start riding more to make sure that I can keep up with everyone! Pics to be posted later. I am trying to find old Palomar pictures so that I can do a before and after thing...

Hey now, I didn't ask for a pity party! Three bad tubes almost had me chucking my wheel down the side of the mountain. But then I would have had to walk down.

Who ended up giving me a tube, anyway? I owe you one...
and Jason, I owe you a pair of levers!

I don't think I would have done the same as you did, I'd been quick to turn around and call it a day. Ghost riding a bike is only good for the first few minutes, then you have to think about the parts you just broke. I know from doing it myself LOL.

The tube came from me, dont' worry about it. Get some yellow levers from Performance, non breakable!!!
