Halloween pics

This is how you can tell a couple is overdue to have children. This is our dog dressed up as Yoda.

We got pumpkins and a squash to resemble my wife, our dog, and me. Can you tell which one is me?

Thanks for posting your pics. First, the dog is so cute! And the pumpkins, hilarious! Again, the squash as a dog - so cute!

Not me. No way, now how. I like to see them, pet them and then hand them back to the parents!
(which is not to say that your little ones aren't darling, Jon!)

Hey Hey hey now, my little one is and Angel from the heavens but my 4 year old... gets his temper from his mother I'll tell ya though I didn't know what I was missing 10 years ago when I said, "I'll never have kids!" A friend of mine once told me, before I had kids, that if a bear was chasing his family up a tree that he would let the bear chew on his legs before he would let it get to his kids. I thought he was crazy. Now I know what he meant. They are my reason for living.

That's good to hear, because I'll probably have to reduce my cycling or stop riding altogether in order to raise mine.

Good heavens, why? You can trade off with your wife and/or get a babysitter for events!

She works longer hours, so weekdays might suffer a lot since the kids are mine until after dark. We'll see how things work out.

Again, talk to Jpconrad. He does that and goes out and rides at night. It works well for him!

After dark is the best time to ride

A guy in my group has a two year old, and twin 8-ish month olds... we generally hit road when they hit the bed

That's a thought. My wife's also ok with one of those trailers as long as I avoid any high traffic roads. I figure I'd drive to the bike path or Rose Bowl and ride from there.

I'll be sure to talk to JPConrad when the time comes. It's going to be at least a couple years thanks to our wedding and college debt.

I'm with you. I love to night ride. If I can ever get my mojo back, I'm going to be back out there. My plan is next week...

I use to ride with a very sweet couple who would take their 1 year old out in a trailer. The husband would pull it. It gave him an amazing workout and their son loved it (for the most part). He even took his son on a 50 miler with his wife and me on SGRT. There were no cars, of course, and since it was mostly flat, my friend didn't kill himself pulling over 50 extra pounds.
