Since it's soooooooooooooo far, what's so great about this ride? Is it all downhill? Nitrous Oxide at the rest stops? What?

Must have had something to do with Active and upgrading accounts or something. Anyway I'm in for the double.

Since I did it last year AND I want to see the race schedule for next year I doubt that it will still be open when I'd be ready to make a decision. Oh well.

I took turns with my girlfriend sagging. Definitely need support out there. There's nothing but scenery and sand and road.

Last spring this ride was a lot of fun other than the 50mph head winds. It is a trek to get there and everything in DV is expensive, but if we get a large enough group I would be interested in doing it again.

I've ridden and sagged in Death Valley several times. Nighttime is even better.

Riding through Death Valley is like riding on another planet. The sheer size of it makes it almost surreal. I think the roads are in good shape... I've ridden so much worse in LA. There were a few bumpy stretches here and there, but you wont be on any of those roads on the Spring Ride. (Spring and Fall follow different routes) The support people are cool, and the stops have everything you'll need (I brought two water bottles, but you could probably get away with just one)
Like I said, one of the only supported rides I'll pay to do. Have an awesome time!
