Encanto Park in Duarte. It's also the starting point for some of the BF GMR rides:

Was looking for something other than Big T, Angelels Crest, Montrose, Grind, to ride tommorrow but that may be too ambitious. It's about 60 round trip on the trail to the beach? I wonder how far it is from Burbank to Encanto? 50 mile round trip, too much for me. 110 total Have fun Herb.

What a great ride....cold to start..but warmed up nicely..lots of riders out...
and I didn't loose anyone this time...
true it was only tom and I, but still...the past rides always lost someone...maybe the curse is broken!
Tom did great... set a pb for distance...

Thanks, Jim. It was tough at the end, but very rewarding. As Herb said, a great ride. And he was great too and very patient - and DIDN'T LOSE ME.

We'll see. By the way, in an emergency I can clean a rotating VTR head with my fingernail. So many memories - hadn't thought about that in years.
