DutchBoy, You're here!
Glad you could join us! I met the guy riding up Euclid towards Baldy Rd. Had plenty of riding stories to share, good ones!
He needs to do one of the GMR forum rides. I think he'll kick some butt!

Hello Mr. Beanz,
I've been trying to get in some miles since I saw you last, so I'll have a chance to stay up with some of the riders here. My legs and lungs keep reminding me how long it has been since I spent much time on the bike.
I nearly went out to GMR to meet up with some of the BF riders the day it was so windy, but decided to ride to Santa Anita and back instead. I had been up GMR to GRR to Baldy Village the week before, for the first time in too many years. One thing I have noticed is that the pull of gravity seems to be much stronger than it was way back in the old days when I rode more.
Thanks for the info related to this site and bikejournal.com . They have helped provide some motivation to get back out on the road. The really nice thing is so far I have even avoided all the cars. After all, having been hit twice, I'm not sure if "the third time is a charm".
Since we are both right here in Upland, we will have to get together for a ride. Perhaps I should bring a bungee cord just in case... (I was looking for a smilie with the tongue hanging out so far it could be run over by the front tire of a bike. Maybe I'll just have to have someone take a photo of me at the end of my next ride.)

I didn't see your post till now, yeah I'm a bit slow! I'm thinking the bungee is for me cause you were smoking up Euclid the day I met you out there! You should have joined the forum GMR riders. Let them know you're on, they'll look after ya!
Glad you logged on along with bikejournal. Good for the cycling! I'm actually shocked as most riders say they'll look into it but you actually did it. You're gonna be a good BF'er!..BF'er = Bike Forum'er
