Tomorrow Ride

So who is planning to ride tomorrow? Unless it's really cold I personally plan to ride. Just can't see myself doing three and a half hours on a trainer.

Wussy.

I only have one bike, and I'll probably ride it. The rain finally came in today (literally got a few drops on me as I rode the last 1/4 mile home) so we'll see how terrible it is tomorrow.

I don't have a trainer anymore. I only used it to set up a new bike then it sat.

Oh, that's understandable. I thought you just didn't want a brown racing stripe on your back.

If there is anyone that is anywhere around the Walnut area that won't mind a newb tagging along, I will be riding tomorrow. I love all terrain, and can't promise I will keep up, but I try.

I may head out on the fixed gear tomorrow just to cruise around, I kinda like the muck and it's much easier to clean up the FG after a wet ride.

I'm going to ride if it's not pouring out. Patsy needs a full salon day anyway, so I might as well use her. Besides, I can hose her off after the ride. I'll either head to RB or over to GP and just do the bike path and loop around the park, but no canyon riding as I'm sure it will be nasty up there.

I want to go out tonight, but I'm not too keen on riding Friday evenings in general... Add in the extra idiot factor caused by the rain and it seems like a bad idea.

Yeah, unless you want to do boring rings around the Rose Bowl.

Surprisingly, that sounds enjoyable... However, I don't want to ride there and I really don't want to drive there.

I might go off-road at Rocky Peak. Sandstone for much of it, so very little mud.

*raises hand* Walnut total n00b here. If it doesn't rain that hard I *might* be riding the bike lanes around Nogales/Azusa/La Puente back and forth tomorrow, to keep from getting bored as teh bf runs at the track near Walnut High. (I don't like running, and he doesn't like biking). Just look for the snail crawling along on a silver folding bike.

It's supposed to be raining pretty good. Time to pull out the good ol Mountain Bike. I hate riding road when it's wet.

Oh yea, we always see MTB'ers up there when we pass though. Where it crosses over to the north side of 118, I take it?

Yes thats it. If you want an ever cooler ride... go north on Topanga till it T's. Make a left and go all the way up to the gate. The guards will see your bike and just let you through. Make your way through the neighborhood to the most north/west corner up the road in the back and you will find a trailhead. Just jump on that and it will take you up to the top of Rocky Peak. Descending that trail blows so it's usually better just to take SS back down.

That might be true, but I am not doing a Crit in the rain. I value my life too much.

Vance, I was thinking of starting at or near Keith's house to do that ride. If it's not raining hard, I was thinking of starting at 8 or 9. I would be up for Reseda or anywhere it's not too muddy.
