Interest Thread: March SD North County Century?

So here's the idea.

The ride starts in Oceanside
Heads down the coast to Solano Beach
Turns east via Rancho Santa Fe/Del Dios to Escondido
Continues out to Lilac Road, Couser Canyon, Rice Valley and Rainbow
Returns to Oceanside via Fallbrook and Bonsall

An Oceanside start should make it easier driving from El-Ay or Oh-Cee so no excuses.

Here is a rough Bikely map: https://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/98067

I am thinking March 15 or 16th but am open to suggestions.

So who might be in? If there is interest I will open a formal ride thread.

If I don't have my sister out visiting at the time (10/16 is her BD and I am tentatively planning to have her here to celebrate), I'm a maybe. Do not taunt me, Danny boy, as I'm not using a visiting sister as a fake excuse! But seriously, it sounds like a good ride. Also, I vote a Saturday, or I definitely won't do it as the commute back from SD to El-ay on a Sunday is torture.

Why are you celebrating her October birthday in March?

EDIT: Darn, Dan beat me to it!

Oh...blonde moment.

My birthday is 3/10 and hers is 3/16. I'm considering bringing her out for that week to celebrate both of our birthdays and that was what was in my head. Thus, I inadvertently typed 10/16.

I'm busy and...gasp...not focusing so much on my responses here!

Hey Dan, I guess I'm interested since you volunteered me for the CAM without granting any of my wishes. I better get at least one century done (this is miles you are talking about, right? )

If it's in April, can you try to avoid the KOM ride weekends? I don't mind if they're on different weekends, but a Saturday century followed by a PU ride on Sunday will be difficult for me. Thanks!

I'm interested, but won't know about my schedule until the date gets closer.

I was thinking March because there didn't seem to be a lot of other events scheduled. I was not looking at racing schedules tho' so those hammering yahoos will have to speak up if they have date preferences.

You did vote yes. I can't be bothered with your fine print.

Yes it's miles but it's not all that bad. Some beautiful areas and no really long climbs.

Dang sisters. Mine is getting married on March 15. Actually, the wedding is in SD. Hmmmm, not until 4 pm. Oh, well, better not. Any other March date and I would definitely be interested. 16th good, I'm already in town!

I have relinquished all hope that your car will ever make it South of OC, but please let me express my sympathy for your imagined potential sufferings.

I'm in if I can be in shape by then. I'm off the bike for 3 weeks or starting today, but I figure I can do it. I'll probably have a massive hangover as my birthday is a week before. But oh well. If I do it, we can detour into Esco and use my house for a rest stop, get water, toilets, etc.
