Karen, other than the wonderful company last year, this ride was not a good one. It's just my two cents, and perhaps they've improved the route. But the route last year was dangerous in parts and not enjoyable. The ride organizers are very nice and the post meal great. The route was the biggest disappointment in my opinion.

If you do ride it, I'll be looking forward to your ride report on how the route is this year!

You should have ridden up to Balcom with us that day. You were practically there as we rode past you, Joel, Scoot, and all...

I'll either ride GMR or ride to the Tour that day.

I find it disappointing when people/groups/entities use a specific-day celebration/event and apply the term to days that contradict the title. Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is one of these. This Century is being held on a SUNDAY. Not a Tuesday. Call it Dimanche Gras, then.

It's like having Easter Sunday celebrations on a Thursday and calling it "Easter Sunday Marathon - Thursday!"

We should have aborted the ride at that point, but who knew? Anyway, it was still fun, again due to the company.

if that disappoints you, you are in for a life full of disappointments.

Don't forget my biggest sticking point. The "century" route was 94 miles.

For someone as OCD as me (I watch "Monk" as a training video), that drove me nuts the entire year. If I hadn't had a few other centuries that month, I would've felt guilty claiming this as my entry for the CAM.
