Lake Mathews Century Feb 2, 7:30 A.M.

Lake Mathews Century
Saturday, February 2, 7:30 A.M.
100 Miles with 3,661 Feet of Climbing

Rain Cancels

"The Weather Man is forecasting 45 - 61 Partly Cloudy with only 20% chance of rain on Saturday so let's go for a bike ride!! We haven’t been out to Lake Mathews since last May so let’s go see some wide open spaces and snow capped mountains out by the Lake.

The Route Slip for the Lake Mathews Century for this coming Saturday is at

http://www.caltriplecrown.com/Centur...ewsCentury.xls

and printed copies will be available at the start of the ride. Let’s skip the 1st Water Stop at mile 25 since it won’t be hot and since the 2nd Water Stop is just 8 miles further up the road at mile 33.

This ride will start at “The Square” (formerly Foodpark) in Irvine at Main and MacArthur (TBM 859-G4/28-C3) at 7:30 A.M. sharp so you should arrive by 7:15 A.M. Main and MacArthur is near the intersection of the San Diego Freeway (405) and the Newport (55) Freeway. Take the MacArthur Blvd. exit from the San Diego (405) Freeway and turn North ... Main Street is the first street Northeast of the 405 Freeway. Meet in the Parking Lot behind the Starbucks.
Ride Safe,
Chuck Bramwell"

I always want to go ride with people who bump their own ride threads.

Jon, sounds like a good ride. Of course, I'm still out, but when I'm back to riding, this is exactly the kind of ride I'll be looking for. You have a safe ride and let us know how it went. I'd be curious to hear since I've not heard of this ride before.

There, I bumped your thread for you.

It's not about the climbing, nor is it about the miles... it's all about the intensity.

Yeah, and I don't see Vance signing up to ride those 100 miles. Vance?
