blowing out of work 2 hours early and riding the GMR loop was The Right Choice™
GRR is closed from GMR to Cowsaddle, but you can throw your bike over the gate
The corners of GRR have some gravel, sand, and in some places ice. It was really cold - I started in shorts and a short sleeve jersey, and the snow areas were painfully chilly. I know cold doesn't radiate, but it sure felt like it.

Looks cold up in them there mountains. Been covered with snow for a while now. Usually seems to be no more than a few days but it's been a while now!

You know those radiant patio heater the restaurants have? It was the reverse of that.
