Looking forward to your visit.

Jason, since you've rode with BikeWNC before, how do you compare his rides (speed-wise) compared to the "normal" BF pace? This is just to gauge the speed these rides will be done at. Thx!

In December, BikeWNC was a bit faster than me. I think it's a safe assumption that he is about as fast as I was back in October when I was actually in shape, if not slightly faster than that. This is just talking about climbing speed. He's also faster than me on flat ground.

Speaking of which, it's time for me to start getting back in shape. Back to trainer rides I go. On the bright side, the weekend rides truly are meant to be social rides. He plans to chase M.E. up Baldy, and I plan to pace M.E. up Baldy. So he'll be chasing me, and as you know, I'm not all that fast right now.

We certainly don't have to ride hard on any of the rides. As far as I'm concerned, social rides are great. It's my first trip to Cali so I want to take in the sights while on the bike. I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for setting this up Jason.

Anyway, there's only 41 days left to get in shape, so off to the trainer I go. I'm really looking forward to these two weekend rides.

Not much to add at this time about the weekend rides since the ride plans are pretty self explanatory...

But a bit more info about dinner plans is being added.

I'm game for Palomar ride if I don't get picked for Jury duty that Monday. And maybe the Baldy ride if nothing comes up. I'm outa shape so I doubt I'll be climbing fast., just enough to spin the gear I have.

Saturday, up in LA after the Baldy ride? If so, I can come up with a ton of good places.

Jeff, so far, BikeWNC is on his own for Thursday. I'm sure he'd love your company, though.

I was thinking maybe closer to Pasadena, but LA would be fine, too.

I might be able to meet him for dinner if I'm not working late. What city is he staying in?

Pasadena would be great! Lots of good restaurants there to choose from.

BikeWNC will be in San Diego for Thursday night.

efficiency, I don't know if any letter girls are working at Rock Bottom that Sunday night, but if N is there, then we will try to get seated in N's section.

Yum, food! All I did was eat this weekend. No riding at all. I did sit by the side of a river for 6 hours Sat and Sun watching some trout swim around in an eddy. I was supposed to be timing a kayak race but I really wanted to catch those fish so I could ship them to ME for pets.

Sweet offer, but I can't pet fish.

I can't have dinner with you on Thursday either as San Diego is out of my territory. Bummer!

BikeWNC, you'll be pleased to know that N at RB confirmed tonight that she likely will be working on the Sunday night when you're out here. And she told me that when I bring my friends in, I should look for her. So you can get beer from N after all.

I didn't think you could make it down to SD during the week. Besides, it wil be after 8pm before I can get settled in and be able to have dinner. Will you ride on Sunday with us?
