A pretty wicker basket(the kind Popeyes kid was left on the porch in) with a nice baby blanket covering something. I had to turn around fearing the worst after I got a whiff of death. I used a stick to uncover it and saw six or seven dead puppies. Is bad as it was I was relieved.

I passed over some possum roadkill once and happened to see some movement next to it. I turned back and found one of her young who had escaped from the pouch. I put the little critter in my jersey pocket, got it home and managed to find a local wildlife rescue place to take it. Kinda cool I guess. Looked like this, only a little younger.
