Newbie here: Need some to find resources on training and group rides

Can I find out where I can find resources for training and group rides?

Ive been cycling to work with my Specialized Tarmac a year ago and I just did my first TT at Santiago Time Trial (34mins). Yes I sucked but I did enjoy it. My goal is to hit under 30mins at Nov. hopefully.

Thanks

^^^Join a club like BCI or my club Veloce Santiago, we have group rides every Saturday leaving from the shop at 7:30am

Or VeloSport out of Rock 'n Road!

Several clubs to consider depending on your level of cycling and your intent:

Social clubs - BCI and OCRR
Racing clubs: Santiago, Velosport and actually tons of others
Both: OCW/Paramount

I have ridden with BCI, OCRR, Santiago and OCW. All great clubs to explore.

Me too! I think OCW is a great club, I do most of their Saturday Centuries. Sign up HERE! We start from “The Square” (formerly Foodpark) in Irvine almost every Saturday.

My intent is to hit a better time at santiago trials at Oct/Nov. Maybe under 30 mins if im being realistic.

Ive been gym bound for a while and I just started cycling to work and back a 14months ago.

Plus I was too nervous this past weekend I couldnt calm myself down ! (172 Avg HR during that course)
