Mulholland Route Change
Just in case some of you don't read the website...
There's a slight change in the route this year. After the Decker Sticker Stop, instead of repeating the course on Mulholland, the route now turns right on Lechusa and Left on Encinal and rejoins Mulholland at the top of Encinal.
Also, PLEASE folks, DO study the suggested start times listed on the website. If you get to a CP before it opens, you'll waste time sitting there waiting for it to open. So, fast folks - this means YOU have to start later!
What time will the first rest stop be open and ready for business?? Thanks, Bone
It's ALL base...
It's around 27 miles in, so I'm guessing around 8am, based on this : The Mulholland Challenge Thread
But I'm not Deb...
The first checkpoint technically opens for the Challenge at 8:30.

IF you're fast and you start at 6:30 or 7am, and you take 6.5 to 7 hours, you're going to sit at the Finish Line with the clock ticking against you... And your place in the KOM standings will suffer for that.
Just letting you know.
There's a REASON for how we do things!
Deb, thank you very much for the information and all you do.
No worries, climbing and fast are not used in the same sentence when rating my riding ability.
